Role Purpose |
The Ink Stores operative is responsible for the supply and demand of ink for orders in line with the planning schedule. They must be able to work flexible shift patterns and follow and interpret the production schedule, so all supply and demand is available at the time of going to press. Educated to a good standard with a good eye for detail and a competent level of computer literacy and should also have a sound knowledge of safe working practices. |
Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities | |
Responsible for ensuring the ink demands for the smooth running of the printing schedule is met. Utilising a variety of relationships within the print and planning area to achieve these standards. Conducting stock checks regularly and ordering ink as per the demand, booking into stock and issuing for jobs. Reporting of any incidents or delays to Department Manager in a timely manner. Responsible for the productivity of your shift in a timely and safe environment. Good communication with both ink suppliers for orders and internal demands and requests Utilising vision system to clearly show stocks and orders available for the planning process. Assisting with team issues when required Responsible for ensuring all of your own work is to the highest quality standards and adheres to internal guidelines and customer requirements Uphold all health and safety rules and procedures that are in place. Analysing quality, production, and process potentials Train and coach team members in process, operations, and compliance. Monitor performance and compliance to routines and standards. Maximise work output and minimised unplanned downtime and maximise conformance to schedule. Ensure compliance to all quality systems to prevent sub-standard products reaching the customer Maintain high standards of housekeeping and hygiene across the shopfloor | |
