Job Description |
The Planning Manager will be responsible for managing plan and schedule work and resources across the factory with specialisation on outsourced services. Working and developing within the Planning/Purchasing team and supporting and contributing to the existing and changes process. The role will be able to communicate, influence and persuade at all levels. Display a positive attitude to learning Technical Aspects of Carton manufacturing planning Awareness. This is an office-based position which could potentially include occasional visits to outwork supplier sites. |
Typical Accountabilities |
Identify business requirements for goods, materials, and services Meet Material requirements Liaise with suppliers Set up the order quantities and making requests on supply contracts Coordinate delivery and storage operations the business priorities set by the manager scheduling the usage of production materials to ensure optimal levels. must evaluate deliveries timeliness and match according to goals production efficiency & meeting CS call off dates monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage that may arise. Identify and resolve problems relating to inventory Address issues regarding quality and production Produce reports based on findings and performance of production Manage deadlines based on CS & NPI expectations Working knowledge of planning role Confidence in reporting on OTIF, Lead time, KPI reporting etc. Education, Qualification and Experience required Degree in business, finance, marketing or related field Minimum 3 years’ experience strategic / production planning Experience in managing/leading a team an advantage Strong analytic and problem-solving skills People and project management experience, with the ability to lead a team Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Sound knowledge of material requirements planning systems and related software Key Behaviours/Competencies Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in everyday situations. Expresses themselves with confidence, both orally and in writing Experience in working with and influencing key stakeholders Attention to detail Communication/interpersonal skills.
