| Job Description |
| The role of Print Finishing Team Leader will report directly to the Production Manager and oversee the production processes of operations primarily in the Finishing area. The position requires the team lead to demonstrate proven skills and good technical knowledge of the industry and Finishing/Gluing machines. The role will support the operators on site during their shift to provide guidance to deliver high levels of quality, schedule conformance and efficiencies in productivity whilst meeting all required standards of Health and Safety and Housekeeping. This role requires the intuitive awareness to escalate issues. Accountability and responsibility to understanding and follow SOP’s for the managed area and supporting the team in achieving the schedule requirements within the shift. |
| Typical Accountabilities |
| Uphold all health and safety rules and procedures that are in place and proactively develop a strong H&S Culture Ensuring compliance to all quality systems to prevent sub-standard products reaching subsequent process or the customerEnsuring that the production team performs to agreed and measurable targets by creating accountability within the team for performance.Technical experience of the machines in the Finishing area, run speeds, machine capabilities and KPI’s essential.Maintain high standards of Safety housekeeping and hygiene in all areas and ensuring planned and preventative maintenance activities are completed on time. Maintaining focus on direct costs, labour utilisation, material specification and waste and compliance to accurate completion of performance reports Accountable for ensuring product achieves all quality, lead-time, and cost targets. Encourage the team to generate solutions using improvement tools Review performance with the team, formally and informally building strong individual relationships within the team Education, Qualification and Experience required Experience within the print /packaging industry or FMCG with proven Machine Technical SkillsLeadership skills with proven ability to lead and support a teamKnowledge of lean manufacturing techniques.Driving improvement through safety, quality and continuous improvement processesProficient PC skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.Excellent organisational and analytical skills.Demonstrated track record of efficiency and profitability improvements.Experience in supplying the Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic and Beauty industriesLean 6 sigma qualified, or other similar qualification |
