Account Director Role
Due to continued growth my clients are recruiting for an Account Director to create long-term trusting relationships with a portfolio of key clients. You will be responsible for the strategic running and overall performance of the account(s), guiding and supporting an account team to ensure that client activities are expanded to their fullest potential in order to maximise service, value add and profitability, thus ensuring client retention. You will be a proactive in looking for new opportunities and solutions to client requirements. We’re looking for a creative thinker, who is able to innovate, progress and evolve our clients’ marketing campaigns to deliver stand-out marketing activations. Roles and Responsibilities Responsible for delivering our operational service as agreed with key stakeholders Ownership and delivery of agreed financial targets Leadership, motivation, and development of the Account Team Development of key client relationships, including senior personnel Will immerse themselves in the clients business: Learning their culture, processes, their people, dilemmas, objectives and targets Development and execution of client account development plans (ADP’s) Client retention and development, including the selling of all Group services Timely, insightful, and accurate reporting Delivery of great client service Key responsibilities: Maintain a close overview of all activities being managed by the account team, with a Focus on the quality of internal briefing and the successful delivery of key campaigns. Deliver and report on our service including SLA’s, KPI’s and Savings Trackers plus any other client specific reporting needs You have a formal review process in place with relevant stakeholders and deliver a comprehensive report pack for monthly/quarterly/annual reviews including agreed Continuous Improvement Initiatives You have an Account Development Plan in place and are actively working on delivering the plan – ensure we are bringing appropriate levels of innovation, training and education to our clients – be proactive and innovative in your thinking Timely and accurate forecasting of revenues in all clients – you are responsible for working with your AM’s and Production Controllers to ensure timely invoicing of delivered work, and with Finance to understand any payment concerns / Aged Debt issues to resolve Management of the personal development of all team members, through appraisals, one-to-one meetings, mentoring and coaching – provide clear direction and objectives. Be the primary point of escalation for client issues. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Inspirational team leader with ability to motivate and get the best out of others Excellent interpersonal skills, able to develop positive relationships internally and externally Excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise work to meet client and business needs Commercially astute, understands how to drive revenue and profit Sound technical understanding of all core services on offer An excellent communicator Ability to work at pace whilst maintaining great attention to detail Good IT literacy, including good knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Thorough understanding of the retail POS landscape Familiar with excellent customer service and accustomed to delivering it A passion for quality Behaviours: Must present themselves and the company professionally Is a good self-motivator but also able to motivate others around them A pro-active and ‘can do’ attitude Remains calm at all times, working methodically through tasks to deliver results Is able to multitask, juggling several projects at the same time Has excellent attention to detail Will take ownership of projects, relieving pressure on our clients Responds quickly to the clients queries or concerns – recognises that our speed of response is essential Driven by performance and improvement – a ‘will’ to want to do things better both on a personal level and company level Shows an appetite to look for opportunities to do more/new business Is comfortable delivering good and bad news – being rational in either scenario |
