Typical Accountabilities |
Responsible for ensuring the ink, printing plate, blanket, board and colour standard/proof/sample demands for the smooth running of the printing schedule. Utilising vision (Radius PSA) system to clearly show stocks and orders available for the planning process. Ink: Monitor and maintain ink and varnish stocks (Kanban system) and place the orders in timely manner to ensure inks available at least for the next 48 hrs. Plates: Running CTP machine to produce plates. (Training will be supplied). Checking plates and ensuring plates available beside the machine 24 hrs prior to production. Blanket: Checking blanket and ensuring blankets available beside the machine 24 hrs prior to production Cutting blankets on the CAD table when required. (Training will be supplied.) Board: Liaise with Goods-In Department to ensure boards available at the designated space 48 hrs prior to production. Colour Standard/ proof / sample: Liaise with Quality Department to ensure colour standard / proof / sample available in the designated area for each job 24 hrs prior to production. Responsible for the productivity of your shift in a timely and safe environment. Utilising a variety of relationships within the print and planning area to achieve these standards. Minimise unplanned downtime and maximise conformance to schedule. Reporting of any incidents or delays to Department Manager in a timely manner Good communication with all teams across the business Assisting with team issues when required. Responsible for ensuring all your own work is to the highest quality standards and adheres to internal guidelines and customer requirements Uphold all health and safety rules and procedures that are in place. Analysing quality, production and process potentials Train and coach team members in process, operations and compliance. Monitor performance and compliance to routines and standards. Ensure compliance to all quality systems to prevent sub-standard products reaching the customer. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and hygiene across the shop-floor Education, Qualification and Experience required Capable of working shifts / flexible work patterns Basic computing skills including excel |
