Gluing Machine Operator

 

 

JOB PURPOSE:

To work with the Gluing team to ensure that all product is produced in accordance with the production plan whilst ensuring that quality standards are met and operating procedures are followed.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Production

  • Machine Set Up
  • Pre Make Ready
  • Basic machine maintenance
  • To comply with current systems of working including established shift patterns;
  • To work as a team to achieve daily/ weekly production targets working as part of a crew on the gluing assembly lines reporting to the machine operator;
  • To achieve the highest possible quality standards working within the guidelines outlined in the established quality systems to achieve customer specification;
  • Participate as part of a team to maximise machine efficiency to reach production targets;
  • Participate in continuous learning and development to update skills and participate in improvement initiatives in production;
  • To work flexibly across all the finishing departments including the rotation of positions and machines

 

Health & Safety

  • To Work in a safe manner adhering as per training and safety procedures of the site and department;
  • To report all accidents and dangerous occurrences and potential risks and ensure you behave in a way which minimises rick to yourself and others;

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

 

  • Experience of working in a production environment desirable with demonstrable knowledge of good manufacturing practice
  • Ideally, experience of working to ISO 9001
  •  Good eye for detail and the ability to examine cartons to a high quality standard is essential
  • Willing to learn new skills
  • Good Communication skills including a good knowledge of English
  • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing

This is a full-time permanent position available immediately.

 

Salary will be in accordance with experience.
