Role Overview
 
The post holder will be responsible for the effective running of the digital printers and working in the finishing department when required. You will produce work accurately in line with job specifications within the agreed timescales. To organise their department to be efficient, maintain stocks of core agreed materials and to ensure the equipment is maintained correctly. 
 
 
Key Responsibilities 
Collect and process work sent from the studio or pre-press department;
Operate the digital printing equipment.
QC to job requirements;
Notify the supervisor/manager or liaise directly with colleagues when issues occur;
Maintain and process work according to the production schedule;
Produce print and finishing in line with company quality processes and standards;
Keep work area and machinery clean and tidy;
Ensure company Health and Safety policies are adhered to;
Maintain the machinery to the manufacturer’s recommendations;
Carry out essential maintenance to ensure machine performs at the highest standards
Problem solving issues, to ensure that the work flows smoothly through the department.
Carry out other departmental related operations
Operate other digital print and finishing machines as and when required.
 
 
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Thorough knowledge of print production practices and processes;
Operational experience with Large Format machines
Demonstrable attention to detail;
Reliable, trustworthy and conscientious;
Effective team member;
Thorough knowledge of small format digital print and finishing;
Pre-press experience would be beneficial.
