Job Description

My client, a leading paper supplier based in Dublin Northside, are seeking to hire an internal sales executive to join their customer service team.

1              JOB PURPOSE

Develop sales of products and services to mainly stockcustomers through inbound calls and complete of administrative tasks to support customer satisfaction.

 

 2             PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountability

1.

Process Stock and Indent customer orders (received by telephone, fax and email) directly onto Genisys, update CRM system after each call and complete administrative processes of order transaction.

2.

Interact and trade with suppliers for Indent orders by providing detailed order information to meet specific customer needs.

3.

Respond to customer enquiries by providing prices, product information, quotes and samples. Use CRM to plan follow up customer contact in order to progress enquiry into sale.

4.

Respond to customer complaints and resolve issues by liaising with logistics and credit control to maintain effective customer relationships.

5.

Promote the use of e-Business systems and processes to customers to increase on-line sales activity.

6.

Gather and maintain information on customers’ business and enter into the CRM system to provide accurate information across all sales channels.

7.

Maximise customer sales by offering added value options in pricing, services, mix of customer products. Identify business opportunities and understand customer needs to generate further sales.   

8.

Complete non-facing customer tasks including updating customer price lists, litigations in CRM, issuing credit notes, creating customer accounts in Genisys and organising sample request.

Number of orders handled by phone, fax, email.

  • DIMENSIONS

Financial:

No direct budget responsibilities.

People:

No direct reports will work very closely with Sales Advisor Manager Field Sales.

Close liaison with Logistics, Credit Control and other relevant departments.

Other:

Occasional travel to customer premises, mill visits, product training.

 

5              KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Knowledge and Skills:

PC literate and extensive knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Project, Visio and Power Point.

Strong negotiation skills to achieve pricing management.

Strong relationship building skills

Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills.

 Ability to prioritise workload and multi-task activities.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at a range of levels (written and verbal).

Capability to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in completing tasks.

Complete understanding of customer base and market place - competitors, suppliers, customer activity / trends. 

Excellent understanding of product / service range and ability to trade with suppliers to support indent order process.

Experience Profile:

Previous experience of working in a similar inside sales or a customer focused role.

Behavioural Competencies:

Flexible approach and ability to focus upon customer service and profitability.

Ability to quickly build customer rapport and easily establish relationships with customers. Relates well to different types of customer, listens and gets on with them.

Uses initiative to take responsibility for own actions and make decisions.
