Job Description

Quality Control Inspector.

 

A leader in The Self Adhesive Label   manufacturing industry is currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an eager, ambitious individual wishing to take the next step in their career.

The role:

  • Identify issues, raise corrective actions and follow through to ensure speedy resolutions to quality and business processes.
  • Visual inspection of manufacturing products.
  • Contribute towards the maintenance of the ISO9001
  • Provide QA support to Operations to meet their objectives of quality, cost and productive outputs.
  • Develop and implement Inspection Monitoring and Process Control procedures to improve operational efficiency.

The person:

  • Previous Quality Inspection experience in the Label /Print Industry desirable.

Summary: 

Responsible for the inspection and release   of final product including review of records and inspection of materials and product in compliance with specifications and procedures. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned.):
 

  • Perform visual, functional and dimensional testing on Finished product
  • Inspect and verify the product and documentation to release final product for shipment. Identify and record product or documentation quality issues.
  • Issue non-conformance reports as necessary and work with quality  on resolution
  • Audit manufacturing line, work stations and quarantine areas to ensure compliance to requirements.
  • Inspect in-process subassemblies
  • Assist in maintenance and coordination of calibration system
  • Scanning 
  • Must be available to work overtime as requested by the supervisor

 

Qualifications: 
 

  • 2 years plus experience in quality inspection/release, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Experience with common measurement and testing tools and equipment.
  • Must have a solid understanding of MS Office applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Strong oral and written communications

Additional Requirements: 
 

  • Able to read and understand specifications and reports.
  • Responsible for performing all duties in compliance with Quality Systems.
