Digital Print Production Manager
My client, a leading point of sale and visual communications printing firm are seeking to hire an experienced print production manager to join their management team. 
Supervisory or management experience within a large format or small format digital print environment is essential for this role.
Role Overview 
The Production Manager is responsible for general management of all phases of Print / Finishing operations including: primary processing and planning for materials, production, engineering, maintenance and product warehousing. Responsibilities also include coaching, training and capability building personnel and facility/physical plant up-keep and capital improvements. In addition the position is responsible for annual budget control, planning and execution. The position works closely with the Production Control Team, Logistics, Client Service, Finance and general management of the business as well as working with UK Group Production within the  Firm.
Key responsibilities 
* Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the Irish Print and Finishing facilities 
* Work closely with all print personnel to review product quality consistency while monitoring yield rates and wastage to determine trends and areas of improvement 
* Review established production schedules for all manufacturing departments to ensure established inventory levels and OTIF delivery capability are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible 
* Overall responsibility for ensuring that staffing and competency levels are achieved/exceeded in all aspects of the manufacturing process and Lean tools and techniques are deployed to facilitate improvement. 
* Monitor manufacturing operations expenses and research ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quality 
* Develop and execute the plant manufacturing budgets, including relevant departments accountable to the achievement of budgets 
* Analyse workforce requirements 
* Coach and develop a WORLD CLASS Continuous improvement environment. 
* Remove production constraints; allocate human and equipment resources and direct production employees to attain all established goals 
* Remove waste and constraints from the production process to improve efficiencies and enhance productivity 
* Work with the Procurement Manager to develop and improve supplier relationships and product quality for materials. 
* Maintain and support a superior safety and housekeeping program, including all timely communication initiatives 
Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience 
1. 5+ years progressive experience in a key leadership/management role within a print manufacturing facility 
2. Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point) to analyse data and trends 
3. Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools such as; Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc. to drive improvement 
4. Previous experience/broad understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies

6. Maintain all plant assets loose and fixed to a high standard within budget constraints 
7. Delivery of a quality product at a cost effective price 
8. Once weekly recorded tool box meetings with plant personnel 
9. Monthly recorded team briefings with Delta senior personnel, including briefing of relevant policies and procedures 
10. Work with the Client Service Lead and MD on service performance/inter-function cooperation 
11. Accurate and timely reporting of all relevant matters
